Pinewood Inspections is a family-owned and operated local home inspection company in Fayette County, GA. We are passionate about serving our community with excellence and integrity. Our ICA-certified inspectors conduct thorough home assessments according to ASHI standards of practice and produce inspection reports in less than 24 hours.
Pinewood was founded to empower homebuyers with accurate insights for confident decision-making. Choosing us means you don’t have to know anything about building to know everything about your home. Our founder Dan Weber, who worked for two decades in roofing and home renovations, noticed a significant gap between home inspection reports and the actual condition of homes. Dan found that many local inspectors lacked hands-on experience in the trades. This limited understanding of construction nuances led to inaccuracies in their reports. Pinewood Inspections set out to change that. Since January 2018, Pinewood Inspections has proudly served clients with home inspections in the greater Atlanta area. True to our roots, we only hire inspectors substantially experienced in hands-on construction and deeply committed to our core values of excellence, service, and relationships.
In Summer 2024, we transitioned to our owners, Nathan & Shayla Raymond. The Raymonds are a powerhouse team committed to continuing Pinewood Inspections’ legacy and ensuring every client receives superior customer service. The Raymonds have called Fayette County home since 2011, raising their family here. They are committed to supporting the community and helping their neighbors in Fayette, Coweta, and the greater Atlanta area.
Nathan served as Pinewood Inspection’s Operations Manager for four years before taking ownership of the company as COO. He brings 25 years of experience in home construction and renovations, which gives him the expertise to provide insightful home inspections. When he is not working, you might find him playing cornhole at Trilith or the Bus Barn or producing music in his home studio.
Shayla brings over 24 years of experience in communications, marketing, and business operations. As a female CEO in a male-dominated industry, Shayla strives for Pinewood Inspections to stand out as competent experts, skilled communicators, and caring neighbors. When she’s not working, she loves being outdoors, hiking, trail running, and paddle boarding, or recording her podcast empowering women in their identity.
At Pinewood every inspector we hire has extensive hands-on experience in the trades. Why does this matter? When you know exactly how to build a deck or install a roof, you understand in detail what you are calling out during an inspection. Our inspectors know the difference between a significant issue and a minor issue and can communicate the condition of a home without fear. Our clients feel empowered and informed, not scared. We hire seasoned inspectors who have been there and done that.
Did you know that Georgia doesn’t require inspectors to be certified? Crazy, right? At Pinewood Inspections, we require every inspector to be ICA-certified and an ASHI Member, inspecting according to ASHI Standards. We also conduct continuing education and pursue additional certifications and licensing to keep our standards high.
